Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. is proud to congratulate Ariel Garnet ’15 as the winner of the 2012 Tiger Swallowtail Scholarship! The annual $200 Tiger Swallowtail Scholarship recognizes an outstanding, unaffiliated, full-time, female, undergraduate student at WPI, who best exemplifies the values scholarship, service, sisterhood, leadership, and multiculturalism. Participants defined diversity and multiculturalism and how they embrace these ideas in their daily life. They also spoke about their volunteer experiences and the difference between being a manager and being a leader. Ariel demonstrated incredible self awareness, personal strength, and leadership skills in the midst of her multicultural perspectives and her desire to give back to her community.
  
  We would also like to congratulate four honorable mentions who also had exceptional applications: Ying Bao ’13, Tuhina Bhattacharya ’13, Ana Dede ’13, and Veronica Vallenilla ’14.
